Superhero

Image
My best friend's youngest is turning 4! She throws the most fun and creative kids birthday parties. He is really into super hero's so here is what she asked me to create.

I recently completed the above fold over thank you cards to coordinate with these save the date cards. My original owl and cat design is printed on an 80# recycled white cardstock in a smooth finish. These would work for any occasion really.

Fresh!

Image
I am so thrilled with how these recent Sydney2 invitations turned out. The colors are so fresh and perfect for an outdoor wedding. Remember this post ? Well this is the color way they chose. Two shades of green and a soft yellow. Great choice don't you think? A fun add was the matching shimmery green envelope liner I created for this couple. I also printed the guests addresses and a two-sided coordinating direction card. Yet another awesome couple to work with. Thank you!

Changed my mind...

Image
Remember this post about the nursery. Well, I changed baby E's bedding to this... It was a dwell studio window panel from Target that my awesome mom made into his bumper pad.

Oldies but Goodies Part 2

Image
My boxed wedding invitations. I hand wrote the circle tags with each guests names. The inside consisted of 4 pages in different cardstocks in our wedding colors bound together by the same simple circle silver brad. The last page was a perforated rsvp card. {I have since learned to add [please tear here] on more recent jobs.} They were wrapped in brown wrap with printed labels for mailing. I still love how they turned out and am surprised to be seeing this style popping up a lot these days.

A bit of Sweetness

Image
Tonight, Avery and Daddy went to Sam's Club. Paxton wanted to play a game instead, I told him I had to get a few work things done while they were at Sam's and I could play a game when they returned. Mr. P decided to stay home anyway, play downstairs and cut while I downloaded/edited photos. First, he cut paper, into squares and rectangles, then put it in an envelope and said "This is for one of my clients." Then he took and empty envelope box put in some packing paper, gave it to me and said "Mommy this is for you. You are one of my clients!" Such a sweetheart. Then I heard him telling a story about dinosaurs, bears, etc. I wondered what he was looking at so I turned around and this is what I saw... He's reading a printer manual. After I took a photo our conversation went like this. "That was a good story wasn't it Mommy?" "Yes, it was a wonderful story. Thanks for reading it to me" He was so proud of himself and I am so proud of ...

Happy Father's Day!

Image
I am wising the happiest Father's day to my 2 favorite guys! Happy Father's Day Dad!!! I love you and thank you for being so wonderfully incredible and the kind of Dad everyone wishes they had. Plus my kids are the luckiest grandchildren in the universe to have a Papa who loves them, plays with them, teaches them so much, and wants to spend so much time with them. Happy Father's Day Hunknee! Thank you for being the father of my children and for always putting our kids and our family first. For caring for them, loving them, playing with them and for just being their wonderful Daddy! I love you!

Card tins

Image
I decorated a plain little tin with delightful polka dotted paper and a hand punched birdie. Inside is where all the fun happens. It is filled with 6 coordinating fold over blank cards. The small cards are perfect for a quick note letting someone know you care or are appreciative. Perfect for kids or spouses lunches, a co-workers desk, used as a gift tag or any way you so choose. When the cards are gone, the tin can be reused to store business cards, paper clips, candy, mints, thumb tacks, magnets, etc. The possibilities are endless. What do you think of this idea? This is my second one and have yet to post them in my shop.

Oldies but Goodies Part 1

Image
As I was looking thru all the pictures of wedding invitations I have designed, I came across many that are from years past and decided to start sharing them. My first Oldies but Goodies is none other than my very own wedding save the date cards from 2002. The champagne glasses are my drawing and sparkled with silver glitter glue. The hotel information is attached to the save the date card with a simple round silver brad. These are printed on different colored cardstock. We were married on New Years Eve so toasting champagne glasses was so fitting. We later incorporated champagne glasses into our wedding favors. We made beaded wine glass charms in our wedding colors with toasting champagne glasses in silver and gold.

Architects, Supermodels, Family & Sun

Image
That's what my weekend consisted of...sounds very exciting doesn't it?!? Saturday a gorgeous and modern house my husband and his company were part of was having an open house of sorts. [My husband builds and installs high end custom cabinetry.] It was designed by this Architect . I love his architeture and was happy to meet him as well. While there, I also met this former supermodel whom after hearing I was carrying twins with 3.5 weeks left, said "You look Great!" I told my husband later and he said "isn't that cool, a former supermodel said you look great!" I guess so, even if she was just being polite. {me on Saturday} Sunday was a superbly warm and sunny day spent at the lake. We 'burnt' hot dogs for lunch (how Avery lovingly refers to roasting over an open fire) played in the water, rode wet bikes, chatted with family friends, and relaxed. [I worked that evening.] I sat with my feet in the cold water to hoping to reduce the swelling. My...

Here they are...

Image
Do you remember this post ? Well the penguin invitations are completed, out the door and actually in the hands of the happy future bride and groom. I am so happy with how they turned out. So unique and fun at the same time. One of the best parts of my job is knowing my design or product brought a smile to someones face, here is what this wonderful bride-to-be Rachel wrote on my feedback "this is the BEST seller/creative person on esty! My wedding invitations are even better than I expected. Stephanie is extremely easy to work with and she will design your perfect wedding invitation. Thanks Stephanie!" Isn't she just so sweet!?! I should be thanking her since I had so much fun drawing the penguins

So Hip!

Image
We had sun yesterday:) so I was able to photograph recent projects while the kids played in the yard. These Hip Circles wedding invitation sets went out earlier this week to Washington state and are just perfect for a Vegas wedding. The delightful couple was so easy and fabulous to work with that I don't think I can really call it work.

what happens when...

Image
I have to work and the kids have finished their worksheets, cutting scraps, taping them together or to the door, putting them in envelopes, drawing and coloring and decide to go upstairs to play with their toys..... empty most toys from their playroom and scatter in various rooms, move their table to the living room, move their doll bed into their room while removing all the hall rugs for easy dragging. I could hear the destruction happening but I needed to get more work done and there wasn't any crying. They did do a fairly good job of picking up while I was making lunch so we could play outside after. **it's apparent my kids have too many toys!

To all my Clients

Image
Thank you to all my clients for being so incredibly wonderful to work with and for helping me live my dream of working from home so I can spend more time with my kids. I am so thankful Stelie Designs is incredibly busy right now. *I am continually taking new clients even with the babies upcoming birth July 9, I have talented staff to help when needed.

In the mail

Image
I just finished up these Aspen Wedding invitations. They on my doorstep waiting to be picked up and off to a happy couple. These are made in dark and light olive with dark chocolate text printed on 100% PC recycled cardstock in a smooth finish. I have another wedding packaged up and on my doorstep too but the pics didn't turn out last night. So I'll take new ones and post them this week.

A view of the Nursery

Image
Drawers full of freshly clean baby hats & socks, gowns & sleepers stocked and ready to go. Thankfully, baby E and baby A are still growing strong in my belly and it looks like they will be arriving on their scheduled date of July 9. I feel at peace knowing their room is almost complete or as complete as it needs to be for their arrival. [THANK YOU MY FABULOUS FAMILY] I think they will sleep well in their new room. Don't you?

Options

Image
I like to provide options for my clients. I have a sweet couple whom I'm designing the Sydney2 Wedding Invitations for in a bit different colors. It's a casual outdoor wedding. Here is a little something I sent them. Greens from the grasses, yellow because they like it and pinks/oranges from the bouquet images they sent me. The last one is just a little something off the wall. What did they choose? You'll have to wait and see...

Speaking of time flies....

Image
I can't believe it's been 4 days since my last post. It sure has been crazy around here. My parents arrived Wednesday and left Thursday night, then arrived this morning and left tonight with Mr. P & Miss A. (I'll see them tomorrow) In that time, my dad patched a crack in our exterior stucco, put in a new basement window in my office, installed some trim, put together a shelf unit for the babies room & braced it to the wall, installed the shelf drawer unit, ran to Target for Miss A's perscription, purchased and installed a new toilet, and of course played with the kids tons. In that time, my mom cleaned my bathrooms, kitchen and babies' room, did all the babies' laundry, folded & put it away, made meals, cleaned the cribs, installed crib rail guards, made baby A's crib bumper, fixed baby E's crib bumper, put all the crib bedding on, helped me hang pictures in babies' room, took care of me and of course played with the kids a lot. I'm p...

Time Flies...

Image
It's hard to believe this little guy is now one! This is his first birthday invite. [I won't even share how many versions I did for his Mommy] We had a whale of a time at the party. I of course had to create a new b-day card just for him. I am happy with how it turned out so who knows it may just end up in my shop soon.

To Reality or not to Reality?

That is the question. I am a sucker for reality tv. I love to watch Jon & Kate plus 8, Tori & Dean (when we have the channel) the Bachelor (not total reality) etc. I was reading in my twins magazine email about a new reality show for families with higher order multiples or multiple multiples which were looking for submissions. Hmm...I thought this could be good...the titles were swimming thru my mind...Steph & Jer plus 4, life with 2 sets of twins, 4 kids and done, 2+2=4, or quads born 4 years apart...I mean who wouldn't want to see my adorable Mr. P & Miss A adjusting to life with new twin siblings? ( A few days later my husband did say I can submit if I wanted too. ) Would you tune in to watch this? +Spending the morning at the Mall of America with friends, having a wonderful time playing in Legoland, running thru Underwater Adventure, riding on the $1 rides in Nickelodean Universe, my children being very well behaved the entire time, only to realize it...
