Silly Girl

Image
This silly girl of mine. At pick up today, I was informed of this conversation... preschool helper: " do you want apple, orange, or cranberry juice?" Avery: "no, I was born to have water!" [I'm not sure where she came up with this. We don't drink juice, we drink milk or water and eat fruit. Although I said if they would like to have it they could. ]

Kids and Candles

Image
2 of these sweet kids (along with my Mom) made me this sweet cake which wasn't so "sweet" since it was sugar-free. but it was the bestest b-day cake i could ask for because it was made with love. [please note: the toothpics are triceratop horns]

Butterflies

Here is a bold, modern and fun invitation. I think the orange is perfect, but of course, it can be changed to whatever color you like. I'll be offering this option as my first DIY, you'll receive it in a pdf format.

You say it's your birthday...

nah nah nah nah nah...it's my birthday too...

The New Hadley2

Image
I designed a new Hadley2 Wedding invitation, the old version used patterned paper for the design, but this time, I used my own design. Since geometrics is another trend, I created mine with a bit of whimsy, for they are not perfectly aligned. These are printed in chartruese and brown on recycled white cardstock, and layered on brown cardstock. I created a floral one too, but that's for a future post.

Parade and festival

Image
Saturday we headed to the lake house so the kids and I could attend this with my parents. It started with a parade with a firetruck, tractors, polka bands, tractors, dancers, gymnastics, tractors, etc. Paxton said "this is the best parade in the whole wide world!" [he's only been to 3] My deprived children got their very first sucker. with all the candy being thrown my kids never said a word nor asked for any. We headed down mainstreet for a bite to eat, gyro's for my dad & I, pizza for the rest. It was blazing hot and the time was fast approaching for the babies feeding. I looked all around for shade, or should I say private shade, with none to be found. I left everyone else at the train, while I headed for the Hotel. They had 6 steps to get in, so not going to happen with a double stroller. I tried another place I thought was a coffee/snack place by the name, got closer it was a gift store. So I headed to the bowling alley. It was wonderfully air conditioned an

Personally Yours

I'm gearing up for the Holiday Season to add more personalized stationery options to my shop . I completed the first step, take photography shots. Next step is to list them. Lastly is to sell them. Personalized stationery makes great hostess gifts. Or great gifts for teachers, employees, daycare providers, friends, family, etc. Start gathering your lists...

Love is the word

Image
These Heart tree invitations went out to a delightful couple in Arizona. I was so excited when I found out their ceremony was on December 31! My 7th wedding anniversary! My favorite is their "Love is Love" brunch the next day.

Preschool

Image
Above are my sweet kids on their first real day of preschool. The day I dropped them off at their classroom, left them, ran errands, then returned to pick them up 2.5 hours later. Look how happy they are, so excited to finally go to preschool like we've discussed for so long. The morning went like this...we greeted the teacher, walked into the room, I discussed their red dye allergy with the teacher with they washed their hands, Paxton and Avery sat at this table playing with the animals. Shortly after Paxton asked Avery if she wanted to go play cars, she did, I asked them to put the animals back in the bin and give me a hug bye. They did and I left without a protest. I was shocked, thrilled, and a little sad they are big kids now. The next day went like this, Paxton not wanting to go to preschool, we greet teacher, wash hands, Paxton kept saying he wanted to come with me, we wrote on chalkboards, Paxton declined because he wanted to come home with me, I said it was time to go,

They Grow Up So Fast

Image
Monday was their first day of preschool, orientation really, so Mommy & Daddy got to go along to meet the teachers, classmates, and other parents for the first half. The second half was for parents to learn about the school, policies, procedures, etc. Of course, my kids had to come along they didn't want to stay in their room. Foreshadowing really...

Thoughts on downloads

Image
I've been toying with the idea to sell my wall calendar [along with a few other items] in pdf form so one can print and cut themselves for less vs. paying for me to print, cut & mail. The thing is...I'm a control freak who wants to ensure each of my designs is executed in excellent quality that I have personally looked over, but I feel in order to grow my company, I have to give up some control. Right? What are your thoughts?

My life without Sugar

Image
corn syrup, tomatoes, peanuts, and almonds. Do you know how everything contains one or more of them, I mean everything!! It has been almost 3 weeks since I've done without them, make that a loooooooooooong and hard 3 weeks so far. Why on earth would I do this you ask? There are 2 very good ones... I am a junk food junkie all the time, and even more so when I'm breastfeeding. I went to see a holistic doctor who does applied kinesiology and she found that sugar, corn syrup, tomotoes, peanuts, and almonds were bothering my sweet baby. [Plus, I have to be careful about too much fruit and carbs turning into sugar.] In less than a week, I found a huge difference in their fussiness and spiting up, I also noticed Adler takes a pacifier less. I have been very good, once in a while I sneak in a bit of ketchup, and have found a lot of sugar free yumminess. Last weekend, it was my first time ever not eating birthday cake nor ice cream at a birthday party. I instead ate a few more

Week in review

Image
Why is it so hard to get a picture of all 4 kids clothed? My big kids love to run around in their underwear! Kids! We had a pretty full week, my grandma and aunt were in town for the holiday weekend until Monday evening + Paxton and Avery got another cold even though their last one wasn't quite gone + Easton & Adler turned 2 months and they celebrated by going to the Dr. Easton weighs 12 lbs 6 oz, Adler 11 lbs 6 oz. [Exactly 13 oz more than Paxton & Avery were at 2 months] + Jer's mom, grandma, grandpa, & aunt came for late morning visit + We had a 3rd birthday party to attend + I was able to get a lot of work [3 weddings, notepads, calendars, blog, flickr, etc.] done [thank you Mom!] + Babies E&A got their first bottle while I was home [Monday morning I'll be gone with my big kids] Speaking of which, my sweet Mr. P and Miss A will be starting preschool tomorrow. I'm excited for their new adventure, sad for knowing they are growing so fast, anxious to
