The Perfect Gift

Image
Family Personlized Notepads I'm putting on the final touches. Personalize your family notepads with your kids, like I did mine above.  You can have whatever text you like.  I couldn't decide between The G-K Four or My Fab Four.  I guess you can tell what won out.    When Paxton saw my test print, he gave me a big hug!  Easton saw it and said "that's me!" (pointing to the little brown haired boy)  Then I showed Adler and she said "that's me!" (pointing to the little curly blonde haired girl)  Avery was in her own world but she knew who it was.  Even my husband loved these and while he appreciates what I do, he doesn't get into it, nor comment much. You'll be able to choose the number of kids, skin/hair/eye/clothes color, hair style, clothes.  Font & text.    Personalize for your parents with all the grandkids for an awesome holiday gift.  Make these gifts for your friends, family, teachers, neighbors, etc.  Perfect

Meet the new Marlowe

Image
Marlowe , isn't she pretty? So full of pattern.  I orginally designed this pattern as a fabric design option for a client.  While it wasn't their chosen one, I knew I would use it elsewhere. So here it is. The Marlowe sample is shown in orange with navy text but would look brilliant in any color for any season.

Meet Avalon

Image
Meet Avalon !  She's playful+delish+modern+a touch a whimsy.  When thinking of new designs, I always come back to the core of a wedding. Love.  Weddings are about two separate people in love, two people from different places, meeting, falling in love, coming together. Avalon , is just that. Two separate hearts coming together.

ahhhh!

AHHH!!! {my fab 4 having fun at Target} Can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks since my last post.  Definitely not planned, but life happens right. [Especially with 4 little people around.] I'm still here designing new things, filling orders, going for walks, playing at the park, watching the kids look for grasshoppers, having play dates, laughing, visiting the rapture center, feeding ducks, fishing, swimming, smiling, riding bikes, swinging, dance parties, getting school supplies, answering emails, working on custom designs. Enjoying life. Being silly. School begins in 8 days.  [Which brings mixed emotions]  2 will be gone all day and will get back into a regular blogging schedule. Thanks for understanding.

New Boys in Town

Image
[Boys showing off their new makeover] Today, I redesigned my boys by redrawing their face+body.  I also added new hairstyles, added skin colors, eye colors, hair color.  Above is a quick peek. They can be used in party invites, personalized notecards, notepads, art prints. Below is my original kid sketches.  I did these years ago quickly, just to have.  They've become popular so today, I took my time along with more thought and care. Loving how these turned out. What do you think? [original & current kid illustration] Soon will be the girls redesign, not today, not tomorrow, hopefully next week.

Sometimes

Image
Sometimes my printer does bad things. Like jam paper or misfire ink.  No ones thing is perfect but when I have orders in production on a specific timeline I prefer all to be happy and go as planned.  For example, when my printer printed 120 invitations + 120 response cards + 120 info cards while I answered emails and designed client proofs all was good until I flipped them over to find the below print on the right. I found a burnt orange not a crisp orange.  Subtle yes, would the brid have noticed? Probably not, but I noticed and found all the invitations and half of the other response / info cards all printed this way.  If it has my name on it, I want it to be perfect which is why quality control is important to me. Needless to say after a few choice words, I cleaned my printer to find issues with magenta.  After wasting lots of ink to clean extensively cleaning the jets, all was reprinted to find the crisp orange and all was well in my office.

Custom Reception Invitations

Image
Last week I shared these custom save the dates. Now on to the custom wedding reception / New Years Eve party invitations More gorgeous photos by their photographer.  Check out the champange cork and confetti on the rsvp card.  Awesomeness.  Next week, I'll share their actual wedding invitations.

Bicycle built for two

The Madison invite in navy + light blue + charcoal gray. Whether your wedding is small or ginormous and are looking to keep costs down, think about forgoing the traditional RSVP card and include the info on your invitation.  This currently saves you $1.30 per set + cost of stamp + address printing / label / handwriting address on the response envelope.
