today was a sun shiny day. a sun shiny day, where i remembered to run outside and photograph some recent projects. so so many! so many recent projects that is... i showed you a peak into this custom project a while back.  here it is in it's full glory! i just love how it turned out. i just love when my clients are so wonderful to work with too.

today i'm sharing with you the ella invite in all brown. i admit, i was a bit skeptical about all the text being brown. but.... i admit i was wrong, i love it. it looks perfect with brown envelopes and matching address label wraps. don't you agree?

missed part one? catch up here . it was quickly realized by all of us the inital colors weren't the ones. they lacked the pop and freshness.  we found new pantone options and i created these options after their fabulous feedback. it was important to have 4 peas in the design to signify stacy + tarah's 4 kids. i started with 3 green (for the 3 boys) and 1 orange (for the only girl) and then with each a different color. [on a personal note: my favorite numbers are 2 and 4.  which is probably why i was probably blessed with 2 kids at a time to equal 4 kids.] after a bit more discussion here is their final logo these women were so grateful. so delightful. so wonderful to work with.  if you get the opportunity to work with them. jump. don't wait. you can follow them on their adventure to world domination here and here .

i was contacted in late december to create a logo for a super cool new company with a new product to make life easier for mom's. the company just happens to be started by two women, stacy + tarah. two women who also happen to be moms. two moms who also happen to each have one set of twins. in the past, i've turned away logo design. why? usually for lack of time plus stationery is my specialty and logo design is not in my full comfort zone. however, in looking to continue growing and expanding my business, this is an area i'd wanted to get into in 2011. the fact that stacy found me, the timing of the project (quick turnaround & right after holidays when my stationery business slows (or so i thought would slow) and the fact that we all had the twin mom thing going, it was destiny.  here is where we started: stay tuned to see where we ended....

we have a little 18 month old adler on ours. have a wonderful weekend!

another custom design i've been working on.

exactly last year at this time, we all suffered the dreaded flu bug. this year was to be no different. saturday night, mr. easton threw up. we didn't believe it was the flu, since he's had a bad cold and lots of coughing, coupled with too much spinkle cheese at dinner, and spinning around from daddy. fast forward to tuesday....mr. paxton threw up on his bus ride home. (poor kid) it was official. the flu bug had infiltrated our home. then we strarted dropping like flies. very early wednesday morning miss avery succombed to the flu bug, then me followed by miss adler around 11:00am.  Jer is still standing and hoping he's in the clear. as the sole person behind this business, when i'm down, it's all down.  when my kids are sick, i'm a mom first, business second. meaning i spend my very limited work time on production + designing, emails and convos fall to the bottom.   i'm apologizing to everyone who is wondering why i haven't responded to your emai
