I completed these delightful 105 wedding invitation sets yesterday. These are yet another color variation on my Sydney Wedding design. Red, yellow, and tan branches and leaves, with brown, red, and yellow text printed on recycled natural carstock. Aren't they just perfect for a September wedding? One year and a few days ago, my life changed significantly. I resigned from my corporate career to stay home full time with my sweet, wonderful children. My husband became the sole breadwinner and we began a much more modest lifestyle, while I started working very part time on my own business. Who knew more modest meant, more fulfilled and more happy? Over the summer, Stelie Designs, Creative Design Services did some small retail design work and with Stelie Designs cards + invitations relaunched in the fall. [Why relaunch? read this post ]In August, my eyes were opened to the world of Etsy by the owner of this fabulous shop . After research and finding time to create new designs, I opened my etsy shop with a few items in late October. Wishing everyone a safe and happy Memorial Day! I hope each of you is enjoying the long weekend. I know I am, I get an extra day with my wonderful husband. We've been at my parents playing outside, riding the wet bikes, enjoying the beautiful weather. This morning the first thing Paxton wanted to do was wake me up so I could take him for a ride on the wave runner. While today is to be sunny, it won't hit 70. We'll see if we take that adventure today.

Welcome baby Reece! Isn't he beautiful!?! Reece was born yesterday, May 22, 2008 at 6:10am and 8lbs 8oz, 20" long. While I was very sad I missed the calls at 3 am and his birth. The kids and I ran to the hospital before their tumbling class. Aunt Steph (me) was the first to hold him other than his parents (my dear friends, julie & shawn), nurses, and doctors. Paxton & Avery love him and were having a hard time keeping their hands off him. I said they can hold him next week after he's home. They did get to sing him happy birthday though. Reece was squeeking and the kids thought he was trying to say his 'ABC's'. He is a lucky boy to have incredible parents and an awesome big brother and two fabulous big sisters. I don't think he'll ever be put down. I went back in the afternoon and got to hold him for another hour. Oooohhhh, it makes me want that 3rd baby now!!

These blue/greens version of the Sydney delights are out the door and on their way to a happy couple in Miami Beach, Florida. I met this couple through Etsy and it has been a joy getting to know them and their story. This wedding is in NY the couples home state. The couple is pure pleasure to work with. 125 of these babies...finished. These fun birth annoucements include a family pic too, not just pics of the baby. I've known the Mommy for quite a few years, we're sorority sisters, long ago we planned alumnae events together and volunteered with the collegiates together as well. [She's a bit younger than me though] It is fun to see her now as a Mommy with this sweet and adorable baby boy. He is a sweetie cutie pie! Whether it's weddings or babies, I am always honored to be a part of someone's milestone! I LOVE what I do! I've moved from creating spaces to creating memories & moments.

This is a version of my Sydney Wedding Invitation in custom colors that I'm currently working on. I'm loving the reds/yellow/taupe. Makes me want fall to arrive.
