Pigs in love!  Can't wait to show you this custom design wedding invitation I completed last week.  With an impending snow storm,  I'll be waiting for sunshine.  *Note to self, must ask hubby to build me a light box!

Weddings & marriage are all about the LOVE! Well not all about the love...but starts with love. These are printed in shades of aqua to teal + light orange but they can be any color you'd like.   You can find them in my shop .

Do something fun! Like climb a tree! be sweet,  and do lots of laughing! Surprisingly we have nothing on the calendar (our only weekend thru April.)  I'm sure we'll be figuring out the kids party activities.  I'm hoping to finish up a few home projects, like paint picture frames, touch up some paint, and paint 4 canvases.  I'm shooting for just getting the party activities figured out.

These party penguins were off to a couple getting married in Vegas by Elvis while the bride wears blue suede shoes!!! Love it! These party penguins are off to a couple in Chicago!  Getting married Downtown!  A girl after my own heart. Wait until you see the penguins on their rehearsal invites, oh just so cute.  Will share soon later.

The Sydney3 in french!  Clients everyday put their faith in me because they don't see their actual invites in person until they are complete.  I take a lot of time (probably too much) to make sure the colors are correct and all is what my client is expecting.  The feedback I received on this was... "You did a really great - no, a WONDERFUL job !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited, I almost cried when Charles opened the box :-))) We LOOOVE them, this is exactly what we had in mind, paper, colors, it's perfect !  So we wanted to say to you a big, a huge thank you !" This kind of feedback makes my heart smile because not only do I take pride in my work, but I'm personally invested in each and every item that leaves my office.

My newest art prints!    It's important to remind ourselved to be inspired.  To be inspired by anything big or small around you.   To be colorful.  To make your mark in the world.  Life is not black & white. To be you!  To not be someone else or the someone we think other want or tell us to be.  Real happiness is found when we become our real self, our authentic self. One service I offer is customizing color for FREE!  Here is how it works.  Let's take my recent client Susan (wonderful bride) she sent me color images of the below dresses.  {Dessy maybe but don't quote me. } After soaking up these yummy dress colors, I got to work on her proofs.  Please note, I can't just color match my colors on the screen to the image...why that would be too easy.  My printer uses eco friendly wax ink and prints everything in deeper tones.  I then do test prints of colors that look good, find the right one, then add it to the proofs.  This is how Susan + Kevin's custom colored invites ended up.  What do you think? Wishing each one of you a Happy Valentine's Day!  Today, the kids opened their little mail box to find one of the above valentines, $1, and cars2 cookies.  (After scrambling to put something together last night & realizing I only had 3-$5 bills) I heard screaming and excitement so it was all good!  I planned on making heart shaped sandwiches for my big kids lunch box  (but forgot! I make lunch while doing spelling words while diffusing arguements between the little kids, while kissing boo boos, while pouring milk, while sounding out words, while...you get the idea!)   I'm hoping to make it up with something valentinish for dinner..assuming we don't go shoe shopping for Paxton tonight. My husband and I totally get into Valentine's Day! Last night while putting the kids to bed our conversation went something like this: Jer: "Did you make me a card?" me: "Umm, not yet" Jer: "Let's not" Me: "Oh good!" "Let'

 My wedding invitations aren't just for weddings. They can be for baptism. or for a kids birthday party Love my designs but already married? or not getting married?  No problem, have a party, I'll make them work!

i love owning my own business, it is rewarding but it also comes with decisions.  my own decisions on what is the right thing to do.   right now, i'm torn between raising my invitation prices and/or outsourcing my printing... it has been weighing heavy on my mind for a couple months.  do i keep wedding invitations in house (notepads & stationery will continue to be printed here) like i've done since the beginning? do i keep the control over my output quality?  do i keep it in my hands, something that gives me personal satisfaction? but i'm not sure if that's important to my clients.  if i do this, i have to raise my invitation prices a bit, because while i love what i do, i need to make money, as well as, compensate for my supplies cost increasing. [printed in house] do i outsource to a printer i am happy with but think my own printing looks better?  do i outsource where there is a qty. minimum of 25 per order? do i outsource where i could offer heavier cardsto

 I added Chicago to my skyline collection! I love Chicago!  Downtown Chicago is special to me.   My dearest friend was married there, I spent a LOT of time there for work, attended a convention, trips with friends, etc. etc.  It's beautiful, windy, inspiring, full of hussle and bussle and everything a true city girl could love.
