Inspiration!

Image
I always find it interesting where inspirations can come from. Here is sample of new paper design I created. The lilac and lime were used as part of an Etsygreetings color challenge that is going on for all the members of etsygreetings. The geometric pattern is something I look at all day everyday in my kitchen but only recently thought to put in on paper. Now I just need to design a card to go with it...

Heart Wedding Invitations

Image
I decided to change things up a bit and add images of past work with a wedding invitation. Opening the envelope the guest is delighted with two orange hearts over cream cardstock adheared to cream rice paper. Upon opening, the vellum overlay reads "Two lives, Two hearts, Joined together in friendship, United forever in love" with the wedding invitation and response card printed with black text on cream cardstock behind. These beauties were a great start to my best friend's fabulous journey of life in marriage and motherhood of 3 under the age of 4. (She has twins too)

Housewarming or Moving?

Image
Here is one of my recent invitations. It's a hand sketch I did of my parents lake home. The milk chocolate brown text is printed on a textured summer rain blue cardstock. (It's much crisper looking in real life) This design would work great for moving cards or housewarming invitations. If you are interested, leave a comment or contact me at steliedesigns@yahoo.com and all I need is a photo of your home to sketch from.

Catching Up!

It's been quite a while since my last post. I've been plagued with migraines on and off since Saturday which means Stelie work and blogging have had to be on the back burner because Paxton and Avery cannot. Surprisingly, we did have an active weekend. Saturday the kids and I went to the MN Zoo with my sister-in-law and 2 nieces, her friend and two boys. 3 adults and 6 kids under 3. It was fun. We didn't venture the outside part though, brrr. Sunday my husband and I took the kids to the Minnesota Children's Museum. Every 3rd Sunday is free! The kids enjoyed the experience. I think they liked mommy crawling in the ant tunnels with them. I remember crawling through those 7.5 years ago with my oldest nephew. Now onto Stelie, other than filling two online orders and creating a custom rehearsal dinner invite sample, the beginning of the week had to be slow. Today, I managed to make 40 different greeting cards (package & file them) while P&A played with pla

P & A are obsessed with the movie CARS and their CARS toys and had to have a valentine pic with their Mack's of course. They did add to their CARS collection with Boost and CARS books. Hope everyone enjoys their day!

Hair Cut!!!

Image
We haven't cut Avery's hair for a full year. Lately it's been getting caught in her sleeves when she gets dressed so I've been asking her if we could cut her hair. She usually says no...but today she finally agreed. Before After She was too busy playing and didn't want me to take a pic, but she still looks absolutely adorable.

Productive Day!

Yesterday was Daddy Day!! So Mommy got to have a work day. There were a few occasions when some little ones wanted me to come and play or wouldn't eat lunch if I didn't join them. Even with the interuptions it was a highly productive day, don't you agree? made 14 cards re-sketched, scanned, formatted, printed, cut, labeled & packaged 20 open house invites formatted, print, cut, & labeled Stelie valentine marketing cards plus stuffed & labeled envelopes, sealed, stamped, and placed in the mail created a couple new web banners re-posted items to etsy updated etsy shop tried out a new paper cutter (not happy with, so it's going back) filed a few more items caught up on emails So it's okay if today is a bit less productive...right???...

Getting Organized!

So this week, the kids and I spent a morning at IKEA and I picked up boxes for organizing paper, marketing materials, cards, etc. While my kids enjoyed dumping red plastic pen holders onto the floor and restacking them over and over until I had selected what I needed. Believe me, plastic is loud when many scatter on the floor. I have been wanting a white board and my sweet husband surprised me with one yesterday. I feel better about my office even though it's not yet complete but it's getting closer.
