{baby announcement sneak peak} custom designs i'm working on.

this is what the sydney2 has looked like since inception. what it looks like printed on my old printer. my old printer which as of late december, i no longer use. while i like the idea of greens. i feel it was a bit outdated as a sample of my work. didn't feel it was putting my best foot forward. so she finally got a makeover. a much deserved makeover. see.  isn't she pretty. in honeysuckle, grass green and pink.  she's been getting lots of love too. two etsy treasury's in 2 days. you can find her here . below is how the kitchen looked when we first saw it. my favorite is the clunky track lights! too small island, with an unattached countertop, lack of storage space, poor conditioned floors. and now... ahh....much better, almost complete. i am still looking for lighting but this industrial look of light bulbs hanging from the ceiling is growing on me. not.  {discloser: if you think this is how it looks when i'm not taking photos. you're crazy, i do have 4 little kids!} white corian countertops top off the medium brown IKEA cabinets for the modern look i was after. i designed the kitchen, my husband & dad put it together and installed them. {the handles, prints & table are also from IKEA, chairs from target, faucet by danze, maple laminate floors, paint~wheat bread by behr, new maple trim compliments of my talented husband}

this is how i'm feeling.  "life is GOLDEN" ~art print by me~ 2010 was a great year for stelie designs!  january and february are typically my slowest months. so far. so untrue. business is busier than ever.          january of 2011 is my best month yet and it's not even over. life is golden. i work from home. i see my kids all day long as many times as i want (well on non-school days) i have the best clients. the best clients from all over the world. i have the bestest family. life is golden. bring it. 2011 is going to be the best year yet.

do you ever have something jumping around in your brain and you just can't move on until it's out? no? well...just me then. i've been thinking about beach weddings for a long time. i've wanted to create a new design with a beach wedding in mind.  not necessarily beach in the literal sense.  so i pulled out my trusty old sketch book for ideas but nothing was striking my fancy at that moment. days . weeks . okay months passed and then it hit me water = blue / sand = tan!  so i took a design i've been wanting to use. played with beach colors. played with the layout and pattern and voila! marlowe was born. this ultra modern. ultra soft. ultra fun invite. is perfect for that beach wedding.  or change the colors and it can be perfect for any wedding.  the ovals are a play on my circles which represent unity & never ending the way love and marriage should be.

 just feel the love this new parker invite exudes.  2 honeysuckle hearts represent the happy couple. the parker design is also available in personalized stationery notecards which could easily translate into thank you cards. parker is pretty simply sweet don't ya think?

 my little peanuts. got into my packing peanuts  while i was gluing notepads  they were laughing so hard. throwing them up like confetti on new years eve.  i just had to take photos to capture the moment. they even "helped" me pick them up.

new year. new designs. sweet. simple. delightful. ada :: honeysuckle + a touch of turquoise [2011 & 2010 color of the year winners] i thought i'd share a bit about my product shots.  i love the simple modern concrete background. it compliments my designs. which means i photograph outside in natural light. in natural elements. like snow. like wind.  like freezing cold. after finally seeing sunlight. i quickly shoveled an area. snapped photos fast to avoid the wind gusts. sometimes i'm successful and sometimes i'm not.  ada will be available in my shop soon.

new year. new designs. a girlier/more feminine calendar i created this weekend.   i had a couple clients ask about doing a girlie one. so i did. this will be a limited addition so get yours quick here .
