transportation

Image
everyone needs/uses transportation to and from their ceremony and reception.  so why not decorate it to coordinate with your wedding stationery? like this...easton design.. one day, i got an email from the brides personal attendant asking if i could design car magnets.  well, OF COURSE, i would love to.  plus, it had to be a secret. a WHAT?? i'm not the best at secrets when it's a cool thing i'm designing.  but i was good. the bride was surprised. right kris? i designed, used an outside printer (which scares me and is something i rarely do) and had it mailed directly to the personal attendant, who owned the car they were using.  the mob (mother of the bride) emailed me pics after they arrived so i could see them. how sweet is that?!? the bride also emailed me photos so i could see... so cool. so fun. so perfect.

hmmm....

it sure looks like my product posts have been lacking lately.  not to worry. i've been busy and have lots to share once i take pictures.

city to country part 3

Image
this is the final installment into our city to country tour. a dairy farm!  full of cows. cows. horses. cows. farm cats. cows. milk shakes. cows. we'd had weeks or so of lovely rain. rain that flooded our basement. thankfully it's not finished. so we go to wear these cool plastic bags over our shoes so we didn't get mud all over our feet or lose our shoes in mud.  so attractive don't ya think? we had hussle from the pumpkin farm to make it to the milking by 3:00.  it was a must see for the kids. we made it in time. easton had finally fallen asleep so i held him. took a few shots and had to leave the barn for fear of throwing up from the smell.  what can i say...i'm not a farm girl. after the milking we looked at calves. then into the farmhouse garage for milkshakes and cheese. my husband someone who shall remain nameless, had 4+ milkshakes.  they were excellent. after the above shot, it started getting colder and the babies wanted down. so i took them back to

city to country part 2

a pumpkin farm... this was more fun for me than the kids because they had stations to talk about canning and how to grow garlic, shitake mushrooms and apples.   so the kids played a bit. easton tried to stay awake. he was in need of a nap. we thought he'd sleep. we were wrong. then each of the kids got to pick a gourd to take home. we had to quick hurry to the next farm to get in on the 3:00 action my big kids were dying to see.

city to country

Image
remember we moved from the city to the country a short time ago?!?  you don't. well we did.  last month our town hosted a city to country tour for one day. where we got to tour 3 local farms.  us city folk were super excited. so we... loaded up our car minivan with 4 kids, 2 adults (my husband and i) snacks, milk, water, diapers, coats, blankets, wraps for baby wearing, and boots. our first stop...the sheep farm. were we saw chickens,  sheep. lots of sheep. alpaca's. brought in from another farm. adler loved the alpaca's. she cried whenever i walked away from them.  goats [easton hanging w/daddy in the hip hammock]  and we even got to see this guy shearing the sheep. it truly is an art to get all that wool.  the farm house had this cool tire swing that avery had to try.  then paxton had to try it. paxton was not happy with me that i forgot to take pictures of the horses. he loved the 2 horses.  then it was onto the second farm which was...

parts of my new home - kids room

next up...is paxton and avery's room.  when we moved they were given the option of having their own rooms or sharing.  they chose.... {how it looked in september} {paxton's original canvas artwork} {avery's original canvas artwork} {how it looks now with avery's cows and horse} {and with paxton's cow, goat, horse} i decided to keep their ikea bedding because they love it. i love it. and we couldn't find anything else we loved better yet.
