A little more fun!

Image
I took these boring old gift tins I have lying around and decided to add a little spice of delight. [Note to self: First make a template from cheap paper before using expensive paper.] These are perfect for holding business cards and other little trinkets, but I have something better planned for them when I get time. You'll have to stay tuned to find out, it could be a while...

The Lucky Winner...

I piled all the names into her baseball glove and she drew... Congratulations to Shelly at LemonTree Studio ! I'll be sending your package soon. Thanks to all for playing. Now everyone go enter the next give away !

These could be yours!!!

Emerson Wedding Invitation Sets

Image
I went back to my roots (designs from the past, plus some tweaking) and out came the Emerson Wedding Invitation set. It's truly simplistic in design with a touch of fun in wording layout, and a touch of classic with ribbon ties. Shown are two options: the first is printed in black on a textured pistacchio color cardstock with 4 rounded corners and tied with white and black ribbon to keep it all together. The second version is printed in black on poppy colored cardstock with 2 rounded corners and tied with white and black ribbon. These can be customized with different colored fonts, paper, ribbon. Ooohhh...I love the idea of endless possiblities!

Moving?

Image
I love being asked if something can be done. Of course it can! These moving cards are really the Avery Personalized Stationery , except instead of a name it reads, "We've Moved!" and the address info is printed on the inside. Don't you want to move now too? Don't forget, entering the give away ends tomorrow. So run don' t walk to this post and enter. You know you want to. The prize makes a great gift too.

Love them Apples!

Image
I finished packaging up these super delights today! These beauties were created for a wonderful, fun, creative couple in Ithaca, NY. I had so much fun working with them. [Maybe you remember the single branch save the dates quite a while back.] This set is made from recycled textured natural cardstock, with text in greys and red. The apples signify the feeling of fall with all the apple trees nearby. The tree and two apples peeks thru the circle cutout and opens to a full tree and invitation inside. Some apples have red cardstock circles added for a dimensional effect. Feel free to read all about the brides journey to the wedding here . Be sure to check out the fabulous wedding locale for their October wedding. A big thank you to Wendy for supporting and promoting my business. We've been working together for the last 4 months and it's been incredible getting to know you too. I'll post invitation set pictures once I take them in good light. I LOVE these!! What do you think?

Give Away Time!! This is the first of the give aways before August 1! The earrings are made by VanDiva [my delightful business buddy] they are made of sterling silver and fresh water pearls. Aren't they fabulous?!? The simply sweet Stelie Designs birthday card is made using a pink and brown grosgrain ribbon and tone on tone pink striped paper on a pink and white patterned cardstock. It is 5.5"x4.25" and the inside is left blank. Now onto the entry details: Take a look at VanDiva's shop and at mine , and leave a comment with your favorite item in each shop and why. Then one of my little darlings will draw a winner. Enter by Friday, July 25.

Stay Tuned!

Later in the week I'll be having a drawing for a pair of VanDiva earrings and my cards. Stay tuned for details, you won't want to miss it!

Cousins!

Image
We've been having so much fun with my nephews these last 2 weeks! Sadly, they will be heading back home to AZ tomorrow. Oh and Wednesday, Avery wanted to help me bring the empty garbage cans up so she came running after me and.... Of course it's because we want to take some family snapshots tomorrow before everyone leaves. This was taken on Thursday now it's darker and more scabby. She looked in the mirror and asked "Mommy, do I look funny now?" No, she's just as cute! Don't you think?

A little something new...

Business Buddy!

Image
I am happy to announce I have a jewelry business buddy for the month of July!!! VANDIVA!!! Vandiva Fashion Jewelry is owned by two jewelry designers: Angelika and Vanessa, a mother and daughter team. When they started their business more than two years ago, Vanessa was 14 years old. They love to design and handcraft jewelry so very much, they think the bonding they experience while working together is expressed in their designs. Their designs are one-of-a-kind, but from time to time they may recreate certain designs by popular demand or by special request. You will find designs that are unique, timeless, classic, or totally modern and chic. All these gorgeous pieces an many more are found in their vandiva shop , but you can also find items from their other etsy shop vandivalicious . I am so lucky be partnered with them, they have the most stunning jewelry that I want to have it all!! Not only are they extremely gifted and talented but they are also wonderful people too. I will be post

Look at the these!

I finished 110 of these super fun, modern, and unique wedding invitations. These are my Hip Circles Wedding Invitations customized to fit within Allison & Greg's wedding colors. Their party favors are journals from Targets eco friendly line in the blue/green, limish green, and deep red. I found stuff from the line to ensure the colors matched perfectly. Allison was such a delight to work with too, which makes my job even more rewarding. Oh and the wedding is going to be in a theater, how cool is that!

Power? Who needs Power?

I DO!! Not just for air conditioning to keep us cool during these hot and humid 90 degree days, but to work! How do I print, design, create, etc.? I should be thankful for a day off, but with a lot on my plate, I'm stressing more than appreciating. Wednesday morning the kids and I packed up, ran errands [some for work, some for kids new shoes] headed to my parents lake house, loaded 3 adults, 3 kids, and 1 teen into my dad's tahoe, and started our journey to Sioux Falls, SD [my hometown] for swimming. Grandma & Papa's other home [as the kids call it] is on the market so they must make sure the yard, pool, and inside are still looking good every week. Of course, we brought the laptop but forgot the internet disc, and now everyone has their wireless locked so that wasn't possible either. [meaning no work for me, which quickened my pulse instead of relief.] The swimming was wonderful, pool was 86 degrees, the weather was hot and humid, Paxton & Avery started swimmi

Another project done!

120 Bundle of Blue baby announcements and 50 thank you's are done and out the door. Last night, baby Reece came with his mommy to pick up his announcements, poor guy got passed around a lot between Paxton and Avery. I barely got to hold him because Avery wouldn't give him up! These are Reece's thank you's! They are a play on the Hip Circles Save the Dates and Hip Circles baby Announcement. They are a flat panel 4"x5.5" card, soon to be added to my etsy shop .

What's New?

Image
Surprisingly in between my 6 active weddings, I found time to make a few new cards that will be listed in my etsy shop soon. The above bright circles b-day card was inspired by this . The above subtle birthday card was inspired by these . This will be a set of 6 blank fold over notecards [2 of each design] Love the cards too much and can't wait for me to list, contact me at steliedesigns@yahoo.com . Also I am happy to announce a new business adventure for the month of July, stay tuned for exciting details.

Days Off?!?

I hope everyone had a wonderful & safe Independance Day! We arrived at my parents lake home on Friday late morning. Played outside, made a b-day cake for my mom [she's a firecracker baby,] relaxed, did some small fireworks and snaps for Paxton & Avery, watched real fireworks while sitting on the beach, sat by the fire, waited for my nephews to arrive from AZ [they are 13 and 8] then shot off fireworks at midnight after they arrived. [Not with my kids, they were in bed since 8:15pm. Maybe next year I'll let them stay up, or maybe not] Saturday was another fun in the sun filled day. Played in the water, went fishing, more fireworks for P&A's enjoyment, played some more, and lots of r&r, etc. Did you notice none of those moments included working? Ummm...should I really be taking 2 days off when I have 6 large projects to complete in the next couple weeks? No, but now I'm ready to get moving. I'm off to cut wedding invitations and baby announcements. I&#
