Meet Felicity (yes, I loved that show) a new member of the Stelie Designs 2012 wedding collection .  Perfect for beach, tropical or desitination wedding.  Or for flamingo lovers. Easton {age 2.5} This kid LOVES flamingo's!! When I showed him this invite and he carried it around.  He has been planning a flamingo birthday cake for about 5 months.  His birthday is in July.

Today is Memorial Day here in the US.  It's a holiday to commemorate US men & women lost while fighting for our country.   While I honor & thank those who've lost their lives serving our country,  I also reflect on remembering my family members who've passed. My maternal grandpa was a glider pilot in WWII who thankfully returned home and led a long life.  He passed away 10 years ago on Veteran's Day (very fitting)  A couple weekends ago we celebrated my beloved maternal grandma who passed away from brain cancer at the age of 91. She lived a long full, happy life.  She was a wonderful grandma to me and an even better great grandma to my kids and nephews.  She will forever be missed but her creative spirit lives on in my kids.

While these invitations are not new to my shop they have been gaining in popularity.  I'm sure you've seen the mustache trend.  They are fun props for photo booths, designs on straws, on glasses, on shirts on my notepads, on almost anything you can think of.   I thought why not wedding invitations?  Below are two recent mustache clients.  Each in their own colors, yet equally delightful.  My skyline invites have become my most popular invite! I have lots of plans to use what's working (skyline) + a little something else to make a new design.  I used my NYC outline shown in navy with my heart tree design to make this new fall skyline. Sometimes, I'm a design recycler/reinventor, a work with what you have type.  I have 4 kids, work from home, limited daycare since January, a child who's been demanding of my time since April with dr's and going to school issues (another post...someday)  along with last month being my 2nd highest sales month since I started this business of mine.  Meaning sometimes finding time to actually create new designs (without someone paying me) needs to be quick.  I was reminded of the below custom design option (not chosen) for my wonderful clients this time 2 years ago, which I still like but needed to clean it up a bit to love it. This lovely couple is getting married in Boston (hence, the Boston skyline invite) and added some really fun parts to their invitations.  Check out the tag on the bottom left "Please come hungry and wear your dancing shoes!"  Can we say...LOOOVE IT!! Then take a peek at the response card.  Along with responding you will or won't be able to attend their guests will get to answer what they plan to do at their wedding and what the best qualities of the happy couple are!  Can we say....LOOOOVE IT even more!!  Of course, don't forget the matching thank you card. April was a BUSY month. The kind of busy I love. The kind of busy that means I have many fantastic weddings to share. This is the Macy design with a little bit of Sasha thrown in for uniqueness. I love how it turned out. Even better...the bride loves how they turned out!

If you've been following me for a while, then you know I've worked with the incredibly wonderful women of sugarSNAP !
