Time to Celebrate with a Give Away!!
One year and a few days ago, my life changed significantly. I resigned from my corporate career to stay home full time with my sweet, wonderful children. My husband became the sole breadwinner and we began a much more modest lifestyle, while I started working very part time on my own business. Who knew more modest meant, more fulfilled and more happy?
Over the summer, Stelie Designs, Creative Design Services did some small retail design work and with Stelie Designs cards + invitations relaunched in the fall. [Why relaunch? read this post]In August, my eyes were opened to the world of Etsy by the owner of this fabulous shop. After research and finding time to create new designs, I opened my etsy shop with a few items in late October. In January, I became a member of EtsyGreetings [this has been an enlightening experience] and filled my shop. Its many members are talented stationery, card, & invitation designers with a wealth of knowledge and great resources, I am happy to be a part of this great team.
Since January, my online business has been growing, while my local business has had a steady increase as well, with very little marketing. I truly love designing and creating. While my style is more modern, I have been tasked to think outside that box to create items upon request. I find I love the challenge.
My kids have changed so much in the last year as well, and I didn't miss any of it! It's been worth the small sacrifices.
