New Design Burst

Meet my newest wedding invitation design - Burst (for lack of a better name or maybe Bolt has been on too many times at my house the last couple weekends.)  Bolt - Burst...get it?
My mom had the below napkin, and I instantly thought "FABULOUS DESIGN FOR AN INVITATION!!!" Instead of using it, I snatched it for home.
A few weeks later as I got to designing, I checked out The Perfect Palette for color inspiration (one of the best places for wedding color inspiration btw.) and this gorgeous color combo was the post. Recently, I've had clients with navy and hot pink / fuscia so this softer pink was the perfect change.  Meant to be.

places everyone! places!

as the leaves start changing colors and the weather gets crisper, i know fall is here.  my FAVORITE!  the leaves falling from the trees along with the sound of the leaves blowing in the wind makes me giddy with delight.  with fall's arrival, i am quickly reminded the holiday season is fast approaching. i don't cook and i don't bake. okay... i don't like to. so for me the holiday's aren't about cooking or baking, they are about decorating and making things. one handmade tradition, i've held onto since childhood, is making placecards for family holiday meals. something i now do with my own little artists.   my style and skills have changed over the years but my love for making them has not.  when thinking of holiday traditions, most jump to christmas but i cherish thanksgiving. time to reflect on all to be thankful for and the nearing of falls end. to share my tradition with you, i've created a free...
