DIY ~ part 1

over the weekend, i did a couple diy projects.

 first orange slice ornaments.  i got the idea from reading this post and i used these instructions.

 i started with 3/4" slices per GH direction but thought they seemed so thick so started cutting some around 1/2" or less.   (I threw the ends in because the kids were putting them on the cookie sheets and wanted too.)

next i added some red twine i found from my ribbon stash and hung on the tree.

honestly, i wasn't entirely thrilled with how long it took (7 hours) and definitely preffered the thinner slices.

 if i were to do it again, i'd do 1/4" slices.

and follow this tutorial i found after the fact.
