last summer before the babies arrived, i wanted to make the kids a school/book bag and fill it with books. games. toys. snacks. for them to have while visiting me in the hospital. a gift from the babies actually. they were so easy and the kids love them. we use them for school bags. to make your own all you need is :: plain canvas totebags [i got these at michael's] fabric scraps [i raided my mom's, i was 8 mos prego w/twins & could barely walk] whatever else you want to decorate with then i :: drew my own letters to spell each childs name [you could use a computer printout or pre-made stencils] drew my own animals [i chose a butterfly & shark] cut your stencils out of fabric have your mom sew them to the bag [or you can sew them yourself if you choose]  we also use them as library bags and for taking extra toys to grandma & papa's.

is a new wedding invitation available in my shop.    i'm lovin' the simplicity of the asterisk + freshness of the grass green and grey.

these delights are in route to ireland.   on there way to a couple awaiting an italy wedding. this sydney lanters wedding invitation set is printed in teal and petrol blue.  i am so in love with their color choice. along with the invite and response i designed matching mailing address wrap labels with each guest address printed.  the label folds at the tree branch with the return address shown on the back.

mother's day is may 9!  find a uniquely special mother's day card for the women in your life here. there are many talented card designers in my etsy greetings team with a wide variety of styles.  i'm sure you will find one, two, or fifty that you just have to have.  [*please note, due to high demand of weddings i won't be making any mom's day cards, unless of course you beg me]

i'm working on a whole sasha wedding package. first up was the sasha save the date card. it's designed with 2 trees to signify 2 individuals getting married.

i covet a freshly made bed.  there's something about it that makes my day seem brighter + calm + complete.  do you think it has something to do with it rarely happening these days? is there something small or silly that you covet?

in the fall. that is when this fun loving couple is getting married.  they asked for a custom invite that reflects minneapolis and the lakes area.   we met to review 6 options i designed. while these 4 did not make the cut.  they are fun in their own right.

i designed these chance diy invites in yellow + grey a couple months ago.    lovin' the color combination.  very similar to my  sasha .

doesn't fall far from the tree.  my kids love to move stuff around just like their mama. the slide used to face out. and toys are all grouped in one spot or spots. and.. they moved a lot of their toys in the bins downstairs to the laundry room.  why? they decided it would be their new playroom. okay. fine with me. the shelves look sparce now and not symetrical. i'll have to teach them about that. someday. note the stools and pillow filling emptied shelves. they are so pleased and that makes me happy. even if it's not symetrical. even if half the room is empty.  little designers in the making.  :: please excuse the painters tape around the door frame. finally getting painted ::

remember this post?  where i mentioned working on a custom save the dates with a camel design.  this is the final product this camel is a drawing done by the groom  [he did well so it was perfect to use in the design]  that i re-created digitally, added eyelashes, heart, etc. the couple lives in england, so i emailed them a pdf for them to print. i finally printed one off for me to share with you.

at how magnificent these look in another color. the audrey invitation in greens and yellow. reminds me of lush grass on a sunny summer day. fitting for a summer wedding. don't you think?

do you like turquoise and red... i do... and so does this fab couple. the chance is one of my diy invitations. i design and the couple prints, cuts, etc.

spring was in full bloom this weekend.  sun shine + no bugs in sight = a perfect picnic make that 2 perfect picnics. one saturday evening in our backyard.  and one sunday at a random park paxton saw on our way to church so we stopped on the way back. even the babies loved eating their food outside. bib-free. ::oh and baby adler got her first tooth too.

these babies. are 9 months old today. my how they've changed. these teethless wonders love to try new things. smile, laugh, babble, play, roll, sit, eat. they add such joy to our family. complete.

we're hopping away for the holiday weekend.  we'll spend it... coloring eggs.  playing.  fishing.  hunting for eggs.  laughing.  eating.  enjoying. hoping you do to.

the babies are so big , we upgraded them to big kid booster seats! [easton's so excited] [adler giving her coy face] april fools! actually they are sitting in their big siblings carseats waiting for me to feed them. we arrived early for a preschool event. full babies are happy babies. and yes, the car was parked [away from anyone else!]
