more reality

dare i admit the week i've had?

monday
 sent kids to preschool in fireman costumes for dress up/fancy day
 walked shopping center during preschool. while pushing stroller & window shopping, i was admiring all the cute spring fashions. saw an adorable outfit. then thought “not really for someone 35” then thought “am i 35? no i’m 36…NO i’m 37!” i don’t feel 37 nor do i feel 35.
 picked up kids from school to find out dress up day is on tuesday
 husband called to say he was officially laid off of work.
 made 5:30 dr. appt for adler. packed everyone up, drove thru mcdonalds for dinner, threw cheeseburgers back to the big kids, shlepped all 4 kids into dr. office & rx. as i suspected her double ear infections weren’t gone.

tuesday
 woke to paxton’s barking cough, kids stayed home from school. thankful they dressed up a day early.

wednesday
 picked up kids from preschool, while loading everyone, their classmate was getting into car next to us. as i was buckling in 2nd baby.  kids yelled “mommy hurry, hurry we want to be first.” wanting to oblige my kids, i hopped into car, realizing my keys were in adler’s seat, about to open door as a mom tapped on my window, asking if this was my stroller. yep, in my competitive state [or too much on my mind] i'd forgotten to put the stroller in the car.
 on our way to aunt julie’s for lunch, she had to cancel, her daughters school nurse called.
 4:50 after i laid babies to late nap, paxton informs me his ear hurts and his ear infection is back. i quickly make an appt. for 5:15. 10 minutes to get myself & 4 kids out the door.  yep, only one is back thankfully.

don't get me wrong...there were so many wonderful moments too, but are those really as interesting? i didn't think so!
