as the leaves start changing colors and the weather gets crisper, i know fall is here.  my FAVORITE!  the leaves falling from the trees along with the sound of the leaves blowing in the wind makes me giddy with delight.  with fall's arrival, i am quickly reminded the holiday season is fast approaching. i don't cook and i don't bake. okay... i don't like to. so for me the holiday's aren't about cooking or baking, they are about decorating and making things. one handmade tradition, i've held onto since childhood, is making placecards for family holiday meals. something i now do with my own little artists.   my style and skills have changed over the years but my love for making them has not.  when thinking of holiday traditions, most jump to christmas but i cherish thanksgiving. time to reflect on all to be thankful for and the nearing of falls end. to share my tradition with you, i've created a free...

one of my recent clients (remember these invites ?) sent me a few of her reception photos. i was so excited to see my paper goods used in real life.   {love love love the wine cork holders} she did a phenominal job pulling it all together. especially from far away. the couple lives in canada & the wedding+reception was in france. beautiful.

These place cards are for this totally fabulously fun couple who were married last weekend. I created matching table cards, place cards, and various other items to coordinate with these invitations. The tables weren't your run of the mill numbers, they were names of board games. The reception is sure to be unforgettable, they had a table of sweets, a table of board games, and a polaroid guest book. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Crazy about Paisley!

Image
I created this paisley design for a local bride who wanted to incorporate paisley into their reception items to go with their paisley guest book and the grooms paisley tie. I always get so pumped up to create a new design! Paisley is a big trend too. This design was incorporated on place cards and table numbers. Here is the finished product. Below is an example of designs that didn't make the final cut. I create different designs to give each client a choice. Below are a couple. Are you crazy about paisley too? If so, these are for you in whatever color matches your event.

Places, Places

Table numbers and place cards! That is how guests find their way for dinner receptions. I designed wedding save the dates for this sweet couple last year, bridal shower invites earlier this year, and now table number and place cards. These are like these but in cream and dark chocolate brown layers. (Sounds like a yummy cake doesn't it?)

Summer Pizazz

Image
I created the above wedding invitations for a wonderful couple this past fall. I've known the bride for many years and was so thrilled she asked me to create her custom Mexican wedding invites. They are getting married in a couple weeks, so exciting. I also created her local wedding reception invites last month. (I need to take photos and to post those.) I created matching place cards for the reception dinner in Mexico. I love how fun and modern they look. Perfect as the sun goes down on the water. The place cards are also perfect for a summer dinner party.

Where am I gonna sit?

A couple placecards I completed recently. Both equally beautiful yet so different, and perfect for each couples event.

Little Delights!

These are the place cards I was saying brought me so much creative pleasure in a previous post. Aren't they just delightful?!!! These beauties are printed on recycled linen white cardstock with the couple's logo design layered on top. In a future post I will show you the entire package in one photo. It all came together wonderfully and I couldn't be more thankful to work with such an incredible couple. Congratulations to the Happy Couple!
