my kids love to draw [they are my children remember.] they had a brilliant idea to hang up this extra large dinosaur drawing. after i nixed the living room idea.  they chose their bedroom. so up it went months ago. they keep adding to it. it's ever evolving.

yes, its true.  in less than 2 weeks. my babies will be 1.  so i whipped up a luau themed party invites. i did ask my big kids if we should have a luau or zoo animal theme. i was surprised they picked luau. i think they are secretly keeping the zoo animals for themselves. my hibiscus spurred new wedding invitations. stay tuned to see them.

my big kids started swim lessons last week. 50 minutes a day for 7 days. they have learned [and enjoyed] so much in the short time.  Here they are on the first day. look how cute they are [2 on far left] holding hands on their way to the showers. they are so lucky to have each other. especially when starting new experiences. then they practiced "their moves" in the lake. only 2 classes left.

for many many reasons. but most of all... i love that i am able to create wedding invitations and save the dates for clients in australia. [and anywhere in the world] thank you internet. thank you usps. thank you clients.

it's been a while... i have so much to share... with my family with my business more to come...stay tuned... but first packages need to be run (driven) to the post office. invitations packaged, invitations assembled, invitations printed, and invitations designed.

my little birdies were included in this inspiration board

the winter invitation is already in my etsy shop .  she can be custom colored too.  my sketch from early 2008.  the pine branch spoke to me. [not literally]  so i drew it digitally. added a small bunch.  put onto a new wedding invitation + named her winter. where did the original pine branch idea come to play for a sketch? my little backyard in the city is full of pine trees.

my newest design creation. coming to an my etsy shop near you. what do you think? a keeper?

yes. it's true. my babies are 11 months old today.

225 of these lovelies were sent off last week to a fantastic couple.  {my poor mailguy must dread coming to my house on days there are heavy packages waiting on my door step.} even after 2 years of this design. i still get giddy seeing it completed.

if you follow me on facebook. or twitter. you may remember me mentioning i was honored to be working on a special project. this is that special project. i was so honored to be asked to create programs to memorialize my bff's dear mimi (grandma) sweet mimi was a woman with spunk. zest. who led a long. full life. even at 90. she played on the floor with her 3 great-grandkids.   may her family find comfort in knowing she is at peace with the angels. her baby boy. and her brother.

i wanted to create a new design. i open my sketchbook . i sifted thru my pile of scrap papers with sketches. found this little birdie sketch from who knows when. drew him/her digitally. and viola. out came bella + beck (short for beckett) birdie. two little love birds gracing our presence. i decided on the apple green and navy colors after seeing  this post . i'll be posting to my shop soon.

everyday. well almost everyday. my kids ask "mommy, why don't you like birds?" i respond "i just don't." my kids love birds. they study bird books with grandma [my mom.] they know all different kinds of birds. they love to watch birds. they love birds.  did i say that already? they love birds. many people love birds. so i finally created birds. love birds actually. now when my kids ask if i like birds.  i can say...these ones.

[last day of preschool] i mentioned last week i was sitting at my kids preschool final spring concert and their last day.  i admit. i cried. [i had to fight back full fledged bawling during the program.] i am so proud of them. they have learned a lot. and they have grown tremendously this last year. [first real day of the preschool] they will never be in preschool again. they will be in kindergarten this fall.  i want to bottle them up and keep them young. now that school is out and stelie is super busy. i will be setting a specific work schedule for myself. more on that in a future post.

olive and oscar owl have been very popular busy lately gracing their presence on all these wedding invitations i've posted recently.  sometimes in predominate ways. sometimes in discrete ways.  who knew when i drew them  almost 2 years ago they would still be going strong? the above love owls were sent off to canada today. off to a sweet couple waiting to mail them to their guests. wonderful jane+gregory will be sending these to announce they were married. i already did matching invites + programs for them.  strangely for me someone who doesn't like birds. i haven't tired of olive or oscar. yet.
