I'm falling down as a blogger! My poor neglected blog will hopefully be less neglected in the coming weeks.  The holiday season has come early, which is awesomeness for business.  But since the little people in my house need to be fed, cared for and played with the blog gets pushed to the wayside. I have lots to share.  Check back to find out about.. ~ my first handmade market (aka. first craft show) ~ Stelie Designs Holiday home parties ~ wine tag designs ~ wedding I've been working on ~ boutiques/shows I'm participating in ~ my kids ~ playroom redo progress ~ new designs ~ holiday specials ~ business life ~ and anything else that's happening around here Thanks for sticking with me!

i'm back.

exactly last year at this time, we all suffered the dreaded flu bug. this year was to be no different. saturday night, mr. easton threw up. we didn't believe it was the flu, since he's had a bad cold and lots of coughing, coupled with too much spinkle cheese at dinner, and spinning around from daddy. fast forward to tuesday....mr. paxton threw up on his bus ride home. (poor kid) it was official. the flu bug had infiltrated our home. then we strarted dropping like flies. very early wednesday morning miss avery succombed to the flu bug, then me followed by miss adler around 11:00am.  Jer is still standing and hoping he's in the clear. as the sole person behind this business, when i'm down, it's all down.  when my kids are sick, i'm a mom first, business second. meaning i spend my very limited work time on production + designing, emails and convos fall to the bottom.   i'm apologizing to everyone who is wondering why i haven't responded to your em...

dare i admit the week i've had? monday  sent kids to preschool in fireman costumes for dress up/fancy day  walked shopping center during preschool. while pushing stroller & window shopping, i was admiring all the cute spring fashions. saw an adorable outfit. then thought “not really for someone 35” then thought “am i 35? no i’m 36…NO i’m 37!” i don’t feel 37 nor do i feel 35.  picked up kids from school to find out dress up day is on tuesday  husband called to say he was officially laid off of work.  made 5:30 dr. appt for adler. packed everyone up, drove thru mcdonalds for dinner, threw cheeseburgers back to the big kids, shlepped all 4 kids into dr. office & rx. as i suspected her double ear infections weren’t gone. tuesday  woke to paxton’s barking cough, kids stayed home from school. thankful they dressed up a day early. wednesday  picked up kids from preschool, while loading everyone, their classmate was getting into car next to us. as i w...

the last 3 weeks we've been plagued with illness. first the flu, then colds and coughs and now ear infections. 5 of 8 little ears are infected and 3 kids are on antibiotics. in the past week we missed preschool, took 4 trips to the doctor, heard lots of crying, watched lots of movies, listened to cooped up arguing kids. tried to fit in worktime. valentines day we had a fondue family lunch at home. it went something like, jer helped big kids cook and cut their food, while i held two crying babies one in my wrap and one in my arms in the bedroom until tylenol kicked in. i'm hoping all 4 are on the mend and we can all get back into the swing of things. the top of my priority list is taxes business and personal. looking forward to spring. and wishing all of you good health.
