The snow is finally melted here, the sun has been shining and I've actually been able to take product shots!  So much to share!  Up first is a new Wedding Invitation design. What do you think of this simple modern invite?  Now available in my shop .

Meet my newest wedding invitation design - Burst (for lack of a better name or maybe Bolt has been on too many times at my house the last couple weekends.)  Bolt - Burst...get it? My mom had the below napkin, and I instantly thought "FABULOUS DESIGN FOR AN INVITATION!!!" Instead of using it, I snatched it for home. A few weeks later as I got to designing, I checked out The Perfect Palette  for color inspiration (one of the best places for wedding color inspiration btw.) and this gorgeous color combo was the post. Recently, I've had clients with navy and hot pink / fuscia so this softer pink was the perfect change.  Meant to be.

[Boys showing off their new makeover] Today, I redesigned my boys by redrawing their face+body.  I also added new hairstyles, added skin colors, eye colors, hair color.  Above is a quick peek. They can be used in party invites, personalized notecards, notepads, art prints. Below is my original kid sketches.  I did these years ago quickly, just to have.  They've become popular so today, I took my time along with more thought and care. Loving how these turned out. What do you think? [original & current kid illustration] Soon will be the girls redesign, not today, not tomorrow, hopefully next week.

don't you just love monday's?!? no... maybe this will brighten your day. or week. or month. or.... meet my little dachshund pups.     {personalized notepad} we have been a pet free home since our golden passed away over 2 years ago. my children are animal lovers. (they don't discriminate. they love all animals.) however, they pretend to be puppies. yes, all 4 of them. so somedays, i am blessed with 4 pups.  {personalized stationery} they also love curious george.  if you've ever seen curious george then you know about hundley the dachshund.  so one more while snuggling, it hit me. i have to draw my own hundley dachshund. now they need names.  i am looking for D names for each of them.  if i choose your name suggestions you just may get a prize.

i had a great memory. emphasis on the HAD...  my last set of twins sucked it out of me at their birth. thank you easton & adler! it's a good thing you're cute:) {designed for my aunt. celebrating a b-day after extensive chemo. you go girl!} plus if you're like me, i have a gazillion things running thru my head...my kids, house, husband, business, family, school, things we need, me, things we need to do, design ideas, projects, etc. etc. etc. so i write notes. make lists.    {a client asked for the calling card birds on a notepad and i obligued} as the holiday season approaches, i'll be working on new notepad designs. until then you can find my other notepads here *see a design you like on one of my invites or personalized stationery and want it in on a notepad. just ask.  you will receive. i'm magic like that!

very well thank you for asking! meet haven. she's fun. she's simple. she's modern. she's unique. i had this design rolling around in my head and just had to put it on paper. many times text is written horizontal to make a design. but i wanted a more interactive design.  soooo... i let the heart do the talking inviting. even the guests get in on the action. their names become part of the heart. "sharing the love" so to speak. she's available here .

this non-girly girl is lovin' these new princess designs i created. these will be hitting my shop soon. or let me know if you want them on notepads or notecards before they are listed.

remember how i love a design challenge? {if you know me or follow me then you do. if not, you know now.}   now where was i...oh right..so i love a design challenge, especially the ones that are out of my comfort zone and push the envelope. for instance, i was asked for more girly designs. girly! what's that?!? while i loved dolls and barbies when i was young, i was never a girly girl.  i remember saying to my mom "that's too girly" avery {my oldest daughter} is NOT girly. we don't do princess, dance, barbie, you know...girly stuff. she is my animal lover. we do all things animal. {hence, all of my animal designs} back to loving a design challenge. i put on my girly thinking cap and have so far have come up with the following... {ballet dancer ~ shown on large notepad} {princess castle ~ shown on stationery} {princess crown  ~ shown on stationery} there are more drawn and will be drawing some princesses in the next week or so.  these aren't yet...

yes the yummy goodness of donuts are all the rage...since i don't bake. i got in on it the only way i know how. i drew a donut with sprinkles and made personalized stationery. now you can get in on it too! head on over to the wonderful real yummy donut goodness of dough a deer and enter to win my stationery. {not into donuts...you can choose another design} hurry...hurry...you only have 24 hours.

i jumped on the bandwagon.  the mustache bandwagon. i drew a mustache. didn't like it. drew it again. didn't like it. walked away. came back.  studied my art.  it reminded me of my paisley design.  lightbulb. took 2 of my paisley drawings.  made it into a mustache.  like it. made it into a notepad. available for the holidays.

the new grayson invitation is printed in a classic black + white.  putting the "&" in a color would fun too.  the style is more classic than my usual.  i like to mix it up a bit.  the design is a combination of a font and my jasmine branch. creating a modern classic look.

i've been wanting to design a tandem bicycle for ages.  but it would drop down the priority list. you know. behind projects for paying clients. or children that needed tending too. so when a client asked for tandem bike notepads. i did a dance or not. after designing them for her. i changed it up a bit and made it into invitations. the madison is  hot of the presses hot off the computer. they aren't in my shop. i want to print and photograph.  however, if you are dying to have them, just send me a note.
