Every year, I design a holiday card for my parents which typically includes photos of their pride and joy aka. grandkids.  They have 6!  Light bulb moment...if my parents want a holiday card sharing their family...others will too.   Duh! These are designed with 3 small photos but could be one long one or just 2.  Since grandchildren are most grandparents shining stars, I designed stars for the back.  Blue is my mom's FAVORITE color, hence the blue stars.  Colors can be changed. i've basically abandoned this little blog the last month or so.  why? you ask. oh you didn't, well i'll tell you what's up anyway. 1. since my older kids started 1st grade, every day, all day, 5 days a week. it's quite time consuming & am hoping to get into a better routine before the year is over. it entails reading every night, reading every morning, practice spelling words every morning, etc. etc. (way too much busy work for me, but that's a whole 'nother story.) 2. on the days my mom is here, i used to get into my office 8ish, now it's after 9 since i see my kids off on the bus. 3. i'm actually doing a full holiday launch instead of a little here and there, like in previous years. including digital photo cards + return address labels.  the launch is starting this week. 4.  i've been working on new stationery + notepad designs for this holiday season as well.  5. my 2 year olds are at the high maintenance stage.  if you have or had a two ...

this was last year's card  i've been working on this years holiday card.  a little different since it will be a moving and holiday card in one. {still need a kid photo} here are a couple options i decided on... this more traditional card or this more whimsical one i was thinking of doing one with my zoo animals on a trailer saying  "we moved to a new zoo" i thought funny & cute, my husband thought not. i'm pretty sure it will be the sleigh, since it's a collaborative effort.  my husband said how about a sleigh and say we've moved. i liked the idea. drew a sleigh, presents, our living room lamp and changed the words. plus, i think we're more fun than traditional. now just to get a picture....

oscar, olive & all their owlets are available to wish their friends and family happy holidays! these are completely customizable from the number of owlets to eye color. shown in shades of blue printed on recycled 80# white cardstock in a smooth finish. family photo is printed on professional glossy photo paper cut and adhered to card.

There's something refreshing and timeless about the simplicity of black and white together. Maybe it's because life is never just black and white it's full of color and shades of grey, now my wardrobe on the other hand...
