Boutique

One of the 4 holiday boutiques I did was at a country club in St. Paul.  The shopping event was Mistletoe & Martini.  It was a phenominal event businesswise along with meeting fabulous new people, catching up with a sweet familiar face and having oh so much fun. This was a shot early on before it got really full. I will definitely be doing this again.  The only thing I'll do differently is bring someone with me.  I was so busy writing orders for many, I missed out on helping + meeting others. YES. This is the LIFE. I did another last minute holiday boutique the next morning in Woodbury.  Which was so fun and a good business decision, I just wish I'd been able to do the evening part of it as well, but I was missing my family and we had a parade & fireworks already planned. I have another Stelie Home Holiday party tonight, my last one for the season!  This extrovert thrives on meeting people and chatting. Funn...

I'm falling down as a blogger! My poor neglected blog will hopefully be less neglected in the coming weeks.  The holiday season has come early, which is awesomeness for business.  But since the little people in my house need to be fed, cared for and played with the blog gets pushed to the wayside. I have lots to share.  Check back to find out about.. ~ my first handmade market (aka. first craft show) ~ Stelie Designs Holiday home parties ~ wine tag designs ~ wedding I've been working on ~ boutiques/shows I'm participating in ~ my kids ~ playroom redo progress ~ new designs ~ holiday specials ~ business life ~ and anything else that's happening around here Thanks for sticking with me!

AHHH!!! {my fab 4 having fun at Target} Can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks since my last post.  Definitely not planned, but life happens right. [Especially with 4 little people around.] I'm still here designing new things, filling orders, going for walks, playing at the park, watching the kids look for grasshoppers, having play dates, laughing, visiting the rapture center, feeding ducks, fishing, swimming, smiling, riding bikes, swinging, dance parties, getting school supplies, answering emails, working on custom designs. Enjoying life. Being silly. School begins in 8 days.  [Which brings mixed emotions]  2 will be gone all day and will get back into a regular blogging schedule. Thanks for understanding.

Sometimes

Sometimes my printer does bad things. Like jam paper or misfire ink.  No ones thing is perfect but when I have orders in production on a specific timeline I prefer all to be happy and go as planned.  For example, when my printer printed 120 invitations + 120 response cards + 120 info cards while I answered emails and designed client proofs all was good until I flipped them over to find the below print on the right. I found a burnt orange not a crisp orange.  Subtle yes, would the brid have noticed? Probably not, but I noticed and found all the invitations and half of the other response / info cards all printed this way.  If it has my name on it, I want it to be perfect which is why quality control is important to me. Needless to say after a few choice words, I cleaned my printer to find issues with magenta.  After wasting lots of ink to clean extensively cleaning the jets, all was reprinted to find the crisp oran...

What's my child(ren) doing Wednesday!

Getting ready for a mag photo shoot which will be featuring Stelie Designs this fall.   The kids got dressed + stayed dressed without a hitch.  They were so awesome, followed directions, smiled and were on their best behavior.  I didn't even need to bribe them with a cookie. Can't wait to see the pics of me and my fab 4.  Unfortunately, Jer couldn't get out of work to join us.

Just another Manic Monday!

Monday was off to a great start!  A new and fresh week was starting.  The sun was shining brightly. The birds were chirping. My mom was here watching the little kids. I was working away. I went to the kitchen to grab lunch and returned to this... This is my computer which came down with something yucky in a matter of minutes. I left a message for my computer dr. guy.  Adler (in potty training/potty learning) dropped her nuk in the toilet after going potty.  I decided not to cry and work on cutting a couple weddings with this big guy My thoughts were wishing I had a tech person on staff.  Someday. Someday, I'll have one on staff.  Then the mail arrived!  My day started looking up again.  I received this order in the mail.  Delighted with how it was tied. I mean look at that button!   Made me giddy & had to share. (you can get your card here ) Heidi of Row House 14 is super cool too.  Then got the call...
