When I went to bed last night, I was in my 30's.  When I was nicely woken up by small children at 3am, I was in my 40's.  Amazing how that happens.  Today, I don't feel any older.  Should I? My 20's were fun. growing up. independent. selfish. lots of partying. stylish. career building. happy times. My 30's were fun. becoming a wife. having kids. having more kids. career changing. challenging. happy times. My 40's are bound to be fun and so much more.  Looking forward to another decade of life!

a couple young boys are having a birthday party!  when a client of mine requested a park themed invite for her young sons in december.  i admit my first thought was "cool. WHAT!?! it will be freezing!" then i remember she lives florida. kids in florida can have outside parties in december. kids in minnesota...not so much. these boys are going to have a blast!

how can it be? my sweet kids are 6 years old already!   happy birthday Paxton & Avery! i am so proud of you and so blessed to be your mommy.  looking forward to spending 24 hours of fun with just you both and daddy, it has been 20 months since the last time.  love you. first pics here

yes, its true.  in less than 2 weeks. my babies will be 1.  so i whipped up a luau themed party invites. i did ask my big kids if we should have a luau or zoo animal theme. i was surprised they picked luau. i think they are secretly keeping the zoo animals for themselves. my hibiscus spurred new wedding invitations. stay tuned to see them.

Saturday we celebrated P&A's 4th birthday with a dinosaur party. Complete with dinosaur masks, dinosaur tatoo's, dinosaur cakes, P's dinosaur tie, A's dinosaur hat, dinosaur party favors, dinosaur decorations, and a dinosaur dig. They had so much fun, well actually, I think everyone had fun! Thank you to all our friends for attending and making their day extra special.

Yes, it's true, I turned 36 today. What? 36?!? How can that be? To me age is just a number, I don't feel 36. I do feel that I am very lucky to be celebrating another birthday, another birthday with my family, another birthday with my kids and another birthday with my husband. Sometimes when it's just the kids and I out and about during the weekday, I think people must assume I'm the nanny because I am WAY to young to have kids! Then I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and it's back to reality! [kids & i on 9/24 heading to class] I will admit that I prefer even years. No matter what, I am one lucky lady... just don't call me ma'am!

Doesn't this waterslide party sound like a blast? I whipped up these kid birthday party invites last week for 3 & 5 year old joint b-day party. Their Mom is renting a water slide. Printed in lime, hot pink, and light blue with brown text on recycled white smooth cardstock. The slide and water are designed, drawn, and digitally colored by me. I am so hapy with how fun they turned out. Do you have a little one's birthday coming up and need party invites? If so, I'd be more than happy to create them for you.

Three years ago at this time, we were just about to head to the hospital for our scheduled c-section. This is our last pic as just the two of us at home. After being delayed 2 times Paxton Joseph & Avery Isabel were finally born at 2:23pm both 6 lbs. 1 oz. and 20" long. They have brought so much joy and love into our lives in their 3 short years. We are truly blessed and the luckiest parents in the world. Thank you Paxton and Avery for being our children. I love being your mommy it is the greatest joy! Happy Birthday!!
