One of the best parts of being in business for a while is my wedding clients are now becoming my baby clients!! I was tasked with creating a clean + modern Kentucky Derby themed baby shower for a former bride.  Her colors were mint + yellow.   All that came to mind was horses + big hats!  [My husband decided to research and shared a bunch of details about the Kentucky Derby.]  Above is the final invitation and below are options that didn't make the cut.  While these are not listed in the shop, if you are in love with any of these 5 designs email steliedesigns@yahoo.com . sorry about the title, it jumped in my head. no post about cows here, just chickens.  a previous wedding client asked me to design invites for a baby shower she was throwing.  when i heard the theme "is the baby a hen or a rooster" i just had to do it.  (avery wants a baby chick for christmas. yes, a real one.) the mom-to-be raises chickens + doesn't know the sex of her unborn baby.  apprarently the dr. wrote the answer on a piece of paper. they have it in a drawer in their house and have yet to peak!  how is that possible?!??!!!  (i had to know) i was so thrilled with how my chickens turned out, so I put it on an art print . use coupon code: EGHoliday10 for 10% off thru Monday, Nov. 14

one of my past clients is hosting a baby shower and asked if i would do the invites.  of course.  since the baby of honor's middle name is to be soleil (meaning sun) she wanted it designed around that + the colors of the sunset.  a little ray of sunshine love! exactly what these parents will receive when Olivia is born. i've said it before & i'll say it again! i am always honored when clients return. it is a BIG ray of sunshine to me.  it means they are happy with my products and happy with the service i provide.  thank you! thank you! thank you!

remember when i mentioned here that i was working on a custom baby shower? it's complete and in the mail. awaiting a fabulous, fun and festive shower no doubt. not being the most knowledgable in dr. seuss, meant this stretched my creative boundaries. it was fun and i am happy with how it turned out.

have i mentioned before how much i love custom design orders? i just love love love custom design orders.  didn't i just say that? this time i was asked to create baby shower invites with a dr. seuss theme.  here they are. now i'm working on notepads [party favors] cupcake toppers and advice cards. stay tuned to catch the whole kit and kaboodle package.

giraffe's are an IT animal this season (much like the owl previously.) i've been meaning to draw a digital giraffe for almost 2 years. once someone asks me to create one, it gets done. here is a glimpse at a recent baby shower invite I completed.

I completed these sweet baby boy announcements over the weekend. These are made with a vellum overlay and ocean blue cardstock attached with a small bow of blue satin ribbon. The baby pic and words are printed right on the vellum. There are little baby cardstock feet prints at the bottom to complete the delightful announcement. Having a baby or need baby announcements?? I just completed these baby shower invites. These are made with 2 shades of pink text printed on white linen cardstock layered on top of 2 shades of pink striped paper. The edges were cut with a victorian design. The buggy is hand stamped with a hand tied bow added for a dimensional effect. They are a bit different than my usual more modern design, but it's the feel the client wanted and I surprisingly love them. Very little girly! They are so adorable and perfect for this baby girl. Here's another pic of a small portion of the 50 invitations. Amazing how orange walls in the evening cast such an interesting glow.
