 paxton & avery had their first school bus ride tuesday.  who knew it would be the answer to paxton's drop off issue. paxton did. he even sat by another boy and was chatting away. never looking to wave as it went on. while he wouldn't allow me to be at the bus stop.  papa took photos for me. for this monumental moment. who knew it would hit me so hard. i didn't. my dream of being in a position to take them to school is not paxton's dream.  at least not now.  avery. she is fine with either one. their teacher said they both had the best day at school.  paxton arrived at school happy.  which makes me happy. lets hope this morning {day 2} goes just as well.  paxton even made his bus driver franny a picture.

:: easton woke me up at 3:30 (never went back to sleep) :: the sun is shining so bright + its a beautiful day. :: paxton told me to stay inside with the babies instead of coming to the bus stop. :: the babies and i watched avery&paxton (along with my parents) wait for the bus from the upstairs playroom window  :: easton & adler were more excited to be playing with all the big kid toys than to watch the kids/bus out the window. :: i watched cried while my kids got on the bus for the first time and drove away. :: i am extra proud of my big kids :: i watched my babies dance a new dance :: i ate cake for a late morning snack :: i am cutting. packaging. designing. printing. :: i turned another year older. {but still feel too young to be a mom. a mom to 4} :: i am excited to see my kids get off the bus and to hear all about it. :: i can't wait to see paxton & avery's face when they get to eat a piece of cake before dinner. :: i am looking forward to dinner w

the new grayson invitation is printed in a classic black + white.  putting the "&" in a color would fun too.  the style is more classic than my usual.  i like to mix it up a bit.  the design is a combination of a font and my jasmine branch. creating a modern classic look.

i've been wanting to design a tandem bicycle for ages.  but it would drop down the priority list. you know. behind projects for paying clients. or children that needed tending too. so when a client asked for tandem bike notepads. i did a dance or not. after designing them for her. i changed it up a bit and made it into invitations. the madison is  hot of the presses hot off the computer. they aren't in my shop. i want to print and photograph.  however, if you are dying to have them, just send me a note.

then meet the paxton wedding invitation...bold. mod. fun. refreshing.  the design could be petals or leaves or just abstract. it will mean something different to each couple.  these are shown in turquoise, chartruese, with two soft orange pieces to signify two people coming together to seek wedded bliss.

last weekend we didn't have any set plans. so on the spur of the moment we went here . for this . while we forgot our western wear, (not that we own any) we visited the pretty city on a river. it was chilly. my kids used a porta potty for the first time. EVER. they have refused before. so much like their mom. they ate pizza. got a balloon.  avery took these pictures. of the reenactment we never did see. 30 minutes later it still wasn't happening. babes+kids getting restless. but we saw guys on horses so all was good. i shopped at the coop on the way to the car. then to the ford dealer to pick up my dad's suv.  where the kids had to look at every truck and car. they picked out their vehicles. paxton a red pickup truck.  avery a blue car. this weekend we will be going to this . we went last year but this year. it's our new community. it was hot hot hot weather last year. thankfully we're expecting a nice cool fall day. have a wonderful weekend.

summer weather is coming to a close. so we enjoyed what will probably be our last day playing in the water this past weekend. oh how the water was too cold on my feet.  the lake was empty so we had lots of fun letting p&a drive the waverunners.  when i say drive, i mean they throttle/steer with mom or dad's high supervision. much like drivers ed with the passenger brake.

mama's happy now offers....  stelie designs cards, notepads, calendars, art prints. when amanda, the wonderfully upbeat and talented owner, found me. i was excited to jump into wholesale sooner than planned. if you live in the metro area, i highly recommend stopping by their october sale. there is so much to see and buy. a couple new cards being sold there... and one of the new blank notepads

i officially have kindergarteners! today is their first day of school.  last night was full of tears for my sweet boy but today he was back to being excited.  we dropped them off to their teacher without a tear from them. once back in the car, i of course cried and i have this emptiness feeling and a now what feeling.  i love spending time with my kids.  i'm used to seeing them.  they will be gone almost 7 hours. i can't wait to hear how their first full day went. to kick off the school year. we had a special dinner. fondue is what paxton wanted. we made crowns. ate. laughed. had fun. tuesday was their class orientation. oh how i love them so!!!
